About BID:

Bid was the first Iranian band in Norway.
It started as Iranian Cultural Band (Iranske kultur gruppen) at Hornsjø Høyfiels hotel above Øyer near Lillehammer in 1987. This band expand the Iranian culture by music, short plays, and dance from different provinces of Iran.

After a year of gigs in different cities, the band members moved to Gjøvik. It was there that they met their bass player Hamid. Three member of the Iranian Cultural Band (Amir, Ashkan, Arash) grouped with Hamid in beginning of 1988 to start BID.

Bid's first concert premier was new year concert in Gjøvik on March 20, 1988.

Bid have composed many songs, and played in many cities around Norway.

By the way, BID has two primary meanings: "willow" and "moth". Band name means "moth".

Bid disolved in 1992 after two of their members moved from Norway.
